Ardentinny Day of Information and Imagination
On Sunday 1st July, 2007, Ardentinny Community Trust Ltd. hosted an Open Day
of Information and Imagination where a variety of residents' proposals
for the future of the village were exhibited. These included the
restoration of the Victorian walled garden; a Viking-themed children's
play area; development of a jetty and moorings; affordable housing with
enhanced meadow and beach path; and a flower meadow.
Helen MacDougall and Alan Bauer of the Community Land Unit; Gordon
Donaldson and Stuart Chalmers of the Forestry Commission with Peter
Clark, Land agent for Forestry Enterprise and Ceci Alderton of Loch
Lomond and the Trossachs National Park were present to advise on plans
and possibilities. The Trust also exhibited information on its past and
ongoing projects.
The event was very well attended by local residents who were able to
discuss proposals, enjoy a cup of tea and give feedback on their views
and preferences.
