Mysterious Coulport bangs explained

This afternoon villagers may have heard a series of loud bangs emanating from the direction of Coulport. On enquiring with the MOD Press Office sellmyhousefast, a spokesperson told Ardentinny.org that there was nothing to worry about and that Coulport had confirmed it was testing security which involved the setting off of some things like pyrotechnics.

Stranded seal pup on Ardentinny beach

Tonight a stranded seal pup remains on Ardentinny beach. The young seal, which is beached just above the high-water line and is around 100cm long, appeared on the beach this afternoon (Sunday). There are no apparent signs of injury. The SSPCA have been contacted, however they are unable to assist tonight. They have requested they …

Road Kill Ardentinny – Is it Necessary?

Sadly, wildlife fatalities around Ardentinny continue. Earlier today a pheasant was mown down near Angle Cottage on the road along the Glen. One has to wonder how these incidents occur. Ardentinny floods

Council refuse truck topples into ditch

Argyll & Bute Council's recycling collection service along the shore was interrupted this afternoon when their Iveco refuse truck toppled into a ditch near the Blairmore Farm/Shore road  junction. Fortunately, it would appear that noone was hurt in the incident. The truck was recovered later in the day.

Every Wednesday & Thursday 11am - 2.30pm.

Music Group - Every Monday 18:00-19:30hrs.
Village Hall, Ardentinny.
Neil and Mike from Rock Cottage are running a new group within the village, initially this is aimed at learning to play the Ukulele. That said we are not limiting or restricting the group to these two instruments. Anyone and everyone are welcome to come, learn, join in, or add something to those starting out playing an instrument, likewise if you’re at a loose end, then come along for a coffee and chat, worth noting we do have spare instruments knocking around, so even if you just want to try something then please pop along. Cost £2.00 per session. Teas and coffees will be available these will be on a donation basis.
