Ardentinny Renewables Trust – Mid 2023 Newsletter

Another six months have passed and this latest newsletter gives an update of activity in that period. The projects funded have been varied from the ukulele group to gazebos and BBQs. All applications approved have benefited someone in the Ardentinny Community.

Our 2023 AGM will take place in the Village Hall on Tuesday 25th July at 7:30pm. As well as reporting on the activities and finances over the last year and our future plans, there will be the usual election of Trustees for the year ahead.

Season opening at Ardentinny Bowling Club

Ardentinny Bowling Club’s opening match of the season took place on Saturday 1st April. The weather was dry, calm but cool, ideal conditions for bowling. There were 44 members and friends in attendance.

At the table on the green were R. Devine (Secretary), J. Gordon (Vice President), D. Menzies (President of kindred clubs), and A. Devine (Treasurer). D. Whyte from the Upper Cowal B.C. was also there to speak on behalf of kindred clubs, D. Menzies (President) and A. Devine (Treasurer).

The first jack was delivered by E. Brint, and 24 bowlers took to the green for six ends.

Afterward, everyone retired to the clubhouse for a buffet supplied by members. All in all a great day.

The Committee would like to thank everyone, who helped to make the day such a success.

Thanks to Jim Robinson for the photographs.

New Community Council reveals Ardentinny village survey results

The recently inaugurated Ardentinny Community Council (CC) held its first public meeting on Tuesday, 7 March. A sizeable audience greeted an equally strong (7 in total) committee which dealt swiftly with a formidable agenda.

It was particularly interesting to hear the results of the CC’s Ardentinny Residents’ Survey, the results of which were extensively analysed.

Resulting actions were also discussed and these continuing education broker, along with full meeting minutes (see below).

Please note that Ardentinny Community Council website is www.ardentinnycc.co.uk and not as shown in survey results.
