Community Council moves to record meetings and create website

At Ardentinny Community Council’s August meeting positive moves were made to set up its own website and record its meetings.

A previous decision was reversed when the committee unanimously agreed to audio record future meetings on the advice of Argyll and Bute Council. It was stated that these recordings would be wiped once the meetings’ minutes had been agreed. It was also agreed to set up a Community Council website www.ardentinnycc.co.uk, bringing Ardentinny into line with other local community councils such as Kilmun; Sandbank; and Dunoon.

It was announced that this year’s Annual General Meeting will take place on 6 October at 7 p.m. followed by the bi-monthly meeting at 7.30p.m. Apparently Argyll and Bute Council had granted a time extension due to the fact that the local community council was investigating a complaint against two of its members. The meeting learned that, unbeknown to Ardentinny Community Council, the complaints procedure did not apply in this instance and it had been decided ‘to draw a line under it’.
