Japanese knotweed spraying

The Forestry Commission has confirmed that the chemical spraying signage near the beach picnic area relates to the control of Japanese Knotweed.  The chemical used was Roundup Pro Biactive, applied at recommended rates.  You can download a useful guide on identifying and controlling Knotweed here (pdf 953kb).

Updated results of the Walled Garden Survey

Out of a certified Voter's Roll of 160, which includes residents who elected not to appear on the public register, 112 surveys have been returned. Votes in favour of a community purchase = 85 Votes against a community purchase = 23 'Don't know' = 3 Abstention = 1

Disposable domicile

Rather than walk a few metres to bin their rubbish in the car park recycling area, these "wild" Ardentinny beach campers simply deposited the remnants of their weekend (including their "bag for life" - see inset) inside their new tent and abandoned the lot!  We've  binned the junk and if anyone would like to get …

Glenfinart Walled Garden - Volunteer Days
Every Wednesday & Thursday 11am - 2.30pm.

All welcome!

Music Group - Every Monday 18:00-19:30hrs.
Village Hall, Ardentinny.
Neil and Mike from Rock Cottage are running a new group within the village, initially this is aimed at learning to play the Ukulele. That said we are not limiting or restricting the group to these two instruments. Anyone and everyone are welcome to come, learn, join in, or add something to those starting out playing an instrument, likewise if you’re at a loose end, then come along for a coffee and chat, worth noting we do have spare instruments knocking around, so even if you just want to try something then please pop along. Cost £2.00 per session. Teas and coffees will be available these will be on a donation basis.
